Submissions invited for Irish language 20-year strategy |

Submissions have been invited as part of the Government’s “Open policy debate” on the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030. As part of the open policy debate, a discussion paper has been published on the website of the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. The Department is inviting submissions on the discussion paper by 18 December. Minister of State for Gaeltacht Affairs, Joe McHugh said: “The aim of the open policy debate on the Strategy is to look back at what has been achieved under the Strategy over the past five years and to look ahead at priorities under the Strategy over the next five years. The open policy debate will result in the main strategic priorities for the five year period from 2016 being identified and published.” The following events will be held as part of the open policy debate:
