No excuse for thuggery by police |

Comments to the world media by Micky Rosenfeld, national spokesperson for the Israeli police, claiming that video footage of the alleged attack on Tariq Abu Khadair was "edited" and "biased" in that it fails to shows the sequence of events leading up to the incident, shows the twisted and perverse thinking of the current Israeli administration. Such comment implies that it is considered right and proper for police act like thugs in continually savagely kicking and thumping an unarmed youngster whom they had already wrestled to the ground. Rosenfeld also highlighted that the police in question were in fact part of an undercover squad, as if somehow that too afforded acceptance of the behaviour. The outcome of Israel's Justice Ministry announced investigation of the incident should result in nothing less than the pressing of criminal charges against those filmed committing the acts of thuggery.
