Published and respected poet John W. Sexton is holding a publick workshop and consultation in Limerick on Saturday 17 October from 11am to 1pm and 2 to 4pm, and on Sunday 11am to 1pm, at the Limerick Writers' Centre, 12 Barrington Street, Limerick.
The workshops will encompass both critique and poetry exercises. Participants who are interested in receiving feedback on their poetry should each bring at least 12 copies of one poem, maximum 40 lines. Please only bring previously unpublished poetry; it is best if you bring in work that is genuinely in the first stages of development or ones with which you are having trouble progressing with. The emphasis will be divided between both feedback on participants' work and also the starting and writing of new pieces; for that reason it is not absolutely obligatory to bring in work.
This is a dynamic way of getting valuable critique from a respected and well-published poet.
