The current operators of Troy film studios in Limerick have announced their acquisition of Ardmore Studios Limited in Bray, County Wicklow.
Bought for an undisclosed sum by Olcott Entertainment Limited, the Ardmore studio complex was established in 1958 and has been instrumental in the making of hundreds of international and national films and TV productions.
Welcoming the news, Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Minister Josepha Madigan said: “Ireland is an attractive location for film production and Olcott plans to develop and expand the Ardmore Studios. These ambitious plans will ensure that Ardmore studios will continue to compete at the heart of the international film and TV production market.”
