Many in countries of the world should hang their heads in shame and disgrace for their doublespeak and action regarding the war against Gaza and it occupants.

For war against Gaza it surely was - the horrific images of the utter destruction wreaked by the Israeli military, the targetting of civilians and media staff, the denial of aid, the forced displacement of an entire people and much, much more is testimonial to the genocide that took place.

Now that a preliminary ceasefire is in place, let us not forget two things amidst the unecessary losses of life, the disabling injuries of so many and the loss of homes of almost an entire population, and the uncertainties of the future for the region.

  • Why did this savage chain of events explode across Gaza after the Hamas attack on Israel? To fully understand requires a detailed and impartial study of the long term history of the region - looking decades before the creation of the modern-day state of Israel.
  • There are those who must now be held fully accountable for acknowledged and independently verified breaches of international law and this must be pursued.

Second earthquake in 24 hours jolts Tonga Islands

Tonga Islands, March 30 (ANI): An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 on Richter Scale jolted Tonga Islands on Sunday, with this being a second earthquake in the same day.

The earthquake took place at a shallow depth of 10 km, making it susceptible to aftershocks.

In a post on X, NCS said, 'EQ of M: 6.1, On: 30/03/2025 20:34:58 IST, Lat: 20.37 S, Long: 174.16 W, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Tonga Islands.'

Earthquake of magnitude 7 jolts Tonga Islands

Tonga Islands, March 30 (ANI): An earthquake of 7.0 on the Richter Scale jolted Tonga Islands on Sunday, a statement by the National Center for Seismology said.

As per the NCS, massive earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10km, making it susceptible to aftershocks.

BEIJING, March 30 (Xinhua) -- A 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck Tonga Islands at 8:18 p.m. Sunday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).The epicenter was monitored at 20.30 degrees south latitude and 173.75 degrees west longitude. Magnitude 5.0 earthquake strikes Fiji

SUVA, 29th March, 2025 (WAM) -- A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck the coast of Fiji in the South Pacific, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.

The quake occurred on Friday, about 557 km south of Fiji's islands, at a depth of 370 km.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
